Socialization of Agricultural Technology as an Effort to Increase Rice Harvests to Realize the Food Security and Farmer Welfare Program

Pemalang | - Referring to the program of the President and Vice President-elect Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka, who are committed to building food security and pursuing increased production in the food sector in the community which will also be built based on industrialization and rural economic development.

This was the opening information in the fertilizer assistance socialization event which took place at the Susukan village hall, Comal sub-district, Pemalang district, Saturday (10/5/2024).

In the next presentation, two speakers from Food Security Activists, namely Khudori and Nurdin, asked for confirmation from the participants of the activity, which were dominated by farmers who were members of Gapoktan from two villages, namely Susukan and Sarwodadi villages, there was a condition where the rice harvest that had been carried out by the farmers did not show significant results, for one hectare of rice field area, it only produced rice harvests in the range of 5 to 6 tons.

"Of course this shows that the quantity of the harvest is less than optimal, so on this occasion I need to say, do you all want ..? so that the harvest can be more optimal ..?", Khudori asked the participants of the activity.

"Next, Khudori showed a data release from the results of the demonstration plots he managed from four regions, starting from Sulawesi, Irian, Medan and East Java, that one hectare of rice field land could actually produce a more optimal harvest, in the range of 7.5 tons to 9 tons", he said.

"It is not without reason that using agricultural technology products in the form of Germanium Minerals as an addition can produce a more maximum harvest," said Khudori.

In applying Germanium Mineral products in rice fields by spraying, the impact is that the rice roots will be longer and stronger, the rice stalks will grow well and the rice grains will have more stalks, and the rice grains will be fuller, denser and larger.

"These things have been proven in the last two years, from the demonstration plots of rice fields managed with the addition of germanium minerals," concluded Khudori.

Furthermore, Nurdin also explained that at least for the demonstration plots that use this product, we need at least two hectares of rice fields as a field test.

"And of course with an agreement that is more biased and profitable for farmers," concluded Nurdin.
